150 Years Polish People In New Zealand

The Polish Association in Christchurch has existed since the early 1950s. It was formally registered in New Zealand as an Incorporated Society on 3rd July 2001.

The first shipment of Polish immigrants arrived at Lyttleton aboard the Friedeburg and set up the first Polish settlement in New Zealand at Marshland.  Polish Settlers Place in Marshland commemorates 145th anniversary of Polish settlement in New Zealand.

The Polish Community Trust, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, was officially incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 on 27 May 2013.
